Today, STEP FuturAbility District, the technological and educational space for future-oriented engagement located at Piazza Olivetti 1 in Milan, will host the official presentation of the PARI Association – Together Against Gender-Based Violence – and its Manifesto. This event, bringing together companies, institutions, and local organizations, marks a significant step toward the cultural change needed to address gender-based violence, not only in the workplace but also in society at large.

The Manifesto is the result of a collective process and a concrete commitment that goes beyond mere declarations of intent, translating into real actions. Structured around seven fundamental points, it provides a detailed action plan to tackle gender-based violence—starting with corporate policies, raising employee awareness, and ultimately fostering broader cultural transformation. Furthermore, the Manifesto does not limit itself to theoretical guidelines but offers measurable and practical strategies to implement effective internal policies, initiate training programs, and raise awareness among individuals and organizations, with the goal of creating lasting impact that extends from organizations to the wider community.

The development of the Manifesto involved writers, philosophers, and experts from various fields, each contributing their reflections and insights. Among the key figures of this initiative are Valeria Parrella, who authored one of the most significant chapters, and Andrea Colamedici, a philosopher who emphasized the importance of cultural change starting with education and male responsibility.

February 3rd also marks the official launch of the PARI Association, a non-profit organization that will coordinate and support the actions outlined in the Manifesto. The Association aims to consolidate ongoing efforts and expand the network of companies, institutions, and communities working together to prevent and combat gender-based violence. In addition to awareness-raising activities, the Association will focus on defining effective corporate policies, implementing training sessions, and adopting practices that promote safe and inclusive work environments.

Under the general direction of Feltrinelli Education, the Association’s board of directors includes representatives from companies such as ATM, AstraZeneca & Alexion, Capgemini, Fastweb, Gruppo Feltrinelli, Hera, Italgas, Jointly, Kering Foundation, Mediobanca, Prysmian, Salp, Snam, and Trenord, with additional support from E.ON, Pirelli, Saipem, and seven other organizations. Given their strategic role, companies are called upon to actively lead this transformation by leveraging their influence to raise awareness and promote corporate policies that can drive tangible societal change.

The event, running from 5:00 PM to 7:15 PM, will feature high-profile contributions. The evening will open with a monologue by Valeria Parrella, exploring the figure of Artemisia Gentileschi, a symbol of female strength and resilience. This will be followed by the presentation of the Manifesto and the launch of the PARI Association, with participation from the Association’s board of directors and experts who will discuss the seven core principles of the Manifesto, explaining how organizations can turn these concepts into concrete actions.

A key moment will also be the presentation of corporate guidelines by Luca Capone, who will outline how companies can create a safe and inclusive work environment. The evening will conclude with an interactive discussion led by philosophers Andrea Colamedici and Lorenzo Gasparrini, guiding participants in a reflection on the cultural shift necessary to overcome gender inequalities.
